Borthwick & Fitzsimmons Joint House Extension and Alterations, Lenzie

This was a unique opportunity when we were asked to design an extension for two clients who were neighbours in a semi-detached property. Historically, the houses have both had extensions added together and the neighbours had decided to remove and replace both extensions with a more modern solution. Aesthetically, each client had contrasting design briefs however, through a simple roof design we were able to connect the language of both extensions in a way which compliments each other and the existing semi-detached homes of our clients. This is a great example of how a contemporary or traditional extension can compliment a historical property.
