Gilbertfield Farm, New Build Development, Cambuslang

A bespoke residential development was designed in the grounds of Gilbertfield farm which includes the listed monument ruin of Gilbertfield Castle. The concept was to create a tree lined boulevard of three and four bed family homes, framing the castle ruin at the end of the vista. The use of stone cladding to the front facades of the dwellings both frames and harmonises with the Gilbertfield Castle, crowning the view at the end of the boulevard. The dwellings mirror the castle’s massing incorporating a gable façade design to create a sense of unity through the entire development.
